Sexual Romance Verses Compassionate Romance

Sexual romance belongs in marriage. I'm not just talking about having sex, I'm talking about the kind of kissing that leads to sex. The kind where your bodies are pressed together, and you feel sexually aroused. Though you may not be breaking any listed rule in the law of chastity, you're allowing your body to feel feelings which lead to the sex desire. This kind of kissing has no place in pre-marital relationships, because this kind of kissing leads to sex, which leads to children. We have no right to bring children into the world until we can bring them into a home with a married father and mother.

There is another kind of intimacy which is appropriate before marriage, I refer to this as compassionate romance, the kind of romance where you kiss to show gentle affection. This kind of kissing, which typically does not involve tongue, or much physical passion, is more of a spiritual experience. Well suited to pre marital relations, as it serves its purpose to bond the couple together and create intimacy, without arousing appetites and passions which lead to sex.

What is the challenge then? Before marriage, focus on compassionate romance. After marriage continue employing compassionate romance, as well as sexual romance.
